Summer being my favourite season at the same time is the season of severe sweating and a super annoying hot and humid weather. It is a must to opt for an outfit that is comfortable yet edgy. How about adding a layer that adds to the look yet at the same time doesn’t add on to the heat¿

Like I created the first look while going through my closet, wondering what to wear, you know that part when every girl contemplates on what to wear and the time where we’re so conscious of ‘not repeating our outfits’? Well yes, this was that moment for me when I found this black and white stripes dress, which is super casual and ofcourse as I didnt wanna repeat it so I thought of adding a layer (which is actually a DIY) and a belt to it and to my surprise it turned out to be pretty good, and at the same time I created a new look and didn’t have to repeat my outfit lol.

Adding some simple accessories is definitely required, I mean basics like a pair of sunglasses and a bag to carry the little things that you dont intend on leaving here and there while travelling in the delhi heat are a must. So for the same, I went with a white chanel bag to match my dress and a pair of rayban sunglasses.

So now that I was successful is recreating a plain simple dress that i’ve worn like a hundred times into something fancy and different, I was quite facinated with this idea of adding layers onto plain dresses just to change it a wee bit. So I went ahead and created it with another dress and another shrug.

And again the white chanel bag which is super handy and not too big, perfect for my size haha.

The best part about the shrug is its not too heavy on me, unlike some jackets, which you’re made to take off once its getting too hot and you no longer can think about your outfit, because of the heat. But when it comes to something like this, for girls like me, you can take care of both, fashion as well as the heat.

You can see how comfortable i look in this outfit, well yes, skorts are my thing. And for the summers they are ‘the thing’ as they not only protect you from the wardrobe malfunctions that we desperately avoid in a skirt but also give us the benefits of shorts cum skirts. Processed with VSCO with p5 preset

A denim jacket is defintely a go-to for every girl, be it a party or a casual meetup, it works either way and adds to your look. For the third look, a perfect combination of different blues has done the justice, and these sunglasses from romwe, that are my absolute fav as of now definitely give it an edge. Don’t you think?

So these were the three looks I put together and I hope I was able to help you for the summer, some way or the other.

Stay tuned for more! x

love,

Riya.
